In the Black Country there are a lot companies that would employ marketing executives and these could be in retail, advertising, publishing, specialised construction and IT services to name a few.
This role would be mostly office based and would require attending events such as trade shows where they could ‘market’ their goods.
Full time, 37-39 hours per week. You may occasionally be required to work evening and weekends.
Starting from £20,000 – £35,000 for experienced.
There are various routes into this career including getting a degree and doing an apprenticeship. Generally, for both these routes you will need to have GCSEs at grades 4 or C or better in English and maths.
You could also apply for an apprenticeship. If you have an EHCP you may be able to apply under the Dfe exemption which allows the apprentice to use Entry level 3 English and Maths qualifications. The apprentice would have to be competent enough to successfully achieve all other aspects of the apprenticeship requirements, become occupationally competent and achieve Entry Level 3 in English and Maths before the end of their apprenticeship.
